A trial train left Chattogram Railway Station today (November 5) to inspect the newly-built rail tracks from Dohazari to Cox's Bazar as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the route on November 11.

Locomotive Master Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman, with Assistant Locomotive Master Rukhan Miah, is operating the train.

The train, carrying railway officials, left the Chattogram station at 9:20am. The train will reach Cox's Bazar station through Dohazari this evening.

Mahfuzur Rahman told Banglanews: “I have gained lots of experiences in operating train but this experience is different for me, I will save this memory for lifetime.

On April 3, 2011, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina laid the foundation stone for the construction of the railway line between Dohazari-Ramu-Cox's Bazar and Ramu-Ghumdhum.
