DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Thursday placed Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal president Abdul Kader Bhuiyan Jewel on a four-day remand in two cases for his alleged involvement in May 5 Hefajat violence.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mostafijur Rahman passed the order after hearing.

Earlier in the morning, Paltan Thana Police produced Jewel before the court with a 20-day remand plea in the two cases.

On December 6, a team of Detective Branch of Police nabbed him from city’s Uttara area.
