Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions during 72 hours commencing 6 am today.

According to the BMD weather bulletin, due to active monsoon heavy (44-88 mm. / 24hrs) to very heavy rainfall (289 mm /24hrs) is likely to occur in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. 

Besides, light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions.

Mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the districts of Patuakhali, Bhola, Madaripur, Gopalganj, Rajshahi and Pabna and it may continue.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. Due to excessive moisture content the discomfort may persist.
