Police have detained two members of a teen gang in the capital's Uttara for stabbing a couple on Monday.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Md Mobarak Hossain, 25, and Robi Roy, 22.

Uttara West Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Md Hafizur Rahman confirmed the matter. 

The teen gang members attempted to run over a child while riding a motorcycle at high speed with loud noises, he said.  

A couple on a separate motorcycle protested against the reckless driving, which made the gang angry. 

In response, the gang called more members and attacked the couple with machetes.

Local people caught two of the attackers, beat them up, and handed them over to the police.
