DHAKA: Sajib Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said the historic 7th March speech delivered by father of the nation Bangabandhu stirs up a deep determination to stand and fight for Bangladesh.

He came up assertion in his facebook status update on Friday.

Joy also greeted countrymen on this historic day.

“Today is historic 7th March. On this day my grandfather, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu, made his historic speech in which he declared that the “struggle now is for our freedom”. This is the moment that set us on the course to independence. His speech was the greatest one I have ever heard, far more powerful and moving than any of the other historic speeches from the greatest leaders around the world.

Every time I hear it, it stirs up the strongest emotions and a deep determination to stand and fight for Bangladesh. My greetings to all my countrymen on this historic day.”
