CHITTAGONG: A district court framed charge against nine persons including Hefajat-e-Islam Nayeb-e-Ameer Mufti Izharul Islam Chowdhury and his son over grenade blast at port city’s Lalkhan Bazar Madrasa.
Three people were killed in an explosion in a room of Jamiatul Ulum Islami Madrasa at Lalkhan Bazar in the city on October 7.
On October 8, two cases were filed against 12 people, including Mufti Izharul and Harun Izhar.
Izharul was the founder and principal of the madrasa.
