DHAKA: Police arrested a man and his wife for torturing domestic help at Badda in the city Saturday.

Badda police said Alauddin and his wife Roksana Akter were arrested for torturing Fatema Akter.

Roksana Akter poured hot water on Fatema on Friday burning her body’s left side, Badda Sub-Inspector Masud said.

On information, Badda police recovered Fatema and admitted her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Duty doctors said she was out of danger.

SI Abidur Rahman filed a case against them under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.
