Former DC jailed for contempt of court

DHAKA: The High Court has granted one-month jail to Syed Mizanur Rahman, former deputy commissioner of Gazipur, for contempt of court.

An HC bench comprising Justice Shafique Uddin Chaklader and Justice Abu Taher M Saifur passed the order on Thursday.

Convicted Syed Mizanur Rahman is currently working at Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre of Savar, outskirts of the capital.
