DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her profound shock at the loss of lives due to ferry capsize off the coast of the Republic of Korea, says a press release.           

“I find it impossible to fathom the grief of the parents and the relatives of those children and others whose lives were lost in the tragedy,” she said in a message of condolence sent to President Park Geun-Hye of Korea.               

The premier prayed for the salvation of the departed souls and for the strength of the family members in dealing with the grief.

She also wished success of the rescue operations being conducted by the Korean government and expressed her readiness in providing assistance and cooperation in this regard.
