Mannan BhuiyanÔÇÖs condition remains unchanged

 DHAKA: Health condition of eminent politician and former BNP Secretary General Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan remained unchanged on Wednesday, doctors said.

Bhuiyan has been on life support at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Square Hospital for a week.

ICU chief of the hospital Dr Mirza Nazim Uddin and Bhuiyan’s personal physician Dr. Bazlul Gani Bhuiyan informed banglanews24.com.bd Wednesday that his physical condition remained unchanged.

Dr. Mirza said the latest condition of Bhuiyan would be informed the journalist on Thursday.

“We’re trying our best. But, he can not breathe normally because of some complications in his lungs,” he said.

Mannan was admitted to the Square Hospital due to lung cancer on July 7. Since then he is on life-support system for his inability to breathe normally at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

Earlier, he was brought back to the country from Singapore where he went on May 31 for treatment.
