KHULNA: Unidentified miscreants shot dead a former Union Parisahd (UP) member in Piprail area of Fultala upazila of the district on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Tayebur Rahman Akunjo, an ex-UP member of No. 4 Jamera Union of the upazila.
Locals said, Tayebur was having tea at a tea stall in the area; at that time, miscreants arrived there at11:30am riding a motorcycle, shot him from behind, leaving Tayebur dead on the spot.”
District police’s detective branch Officer-In-Charge Rokonuzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
