DHAKA: Police released Garments Sramik Oikya Federation Chairman Moshrefa Mishu on Thursday evening hours after detention her in front of the Tuba factory in city’s Badda area.

Badda Thana Officer-In-Charge (investigation) Kamrul Faruk told banglanews: “We took her to thana and later she was taken to the Detective Branch office.”

She was freed from the detective office around 8:15pm, he added. 

Mishu, who was on fast-unto-death with the workers, was picked up during the clash between garments workers and police in the area at 12:00 noon.
