SATKHIRA: Miscreants chopped a ringleader of a robber gang to death at Par Machkhola village under Sadar upazila of the district early Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Abu Daud, chief of Daud Bahini and son of Solaiman Gazi of Machkhola village of Sadar Upazila.

Locals said that miscreants chopped Daud around 10:00pm while he was going to a Gher (non-pond aquaculture) where he used to stay at night, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to Satkhira Sadar Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead around 12:00am.

Confirming the matter, Satkhira Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge Golam Rahman told banglanews, “The robber leader was wanted in several killing cases.”
