DHAKA: A man was electrocuted in Gendaria area of the city on Sunday noon.

The deceased was identified as a rickshaw puller Anwar Hossain, 35, resident of Narinda area.

Local sources said Anwar Hossain came in contact with electric wire while he was hanging a poster in the area in the noon.

However, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead around 4:10pm.

DMCH police camp in-charge, Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
