DHAKA: The government asked the Indian government and concerned agencies to share information about any involvement of organisations from Bangladesh and citizens’ names in the blast in West Bengal’s Burdwan of India on October 2, 2014.
In response to a question, an official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India made the assertion at a regular press briefing.
The spokesperson said, “I can confirm to you that the Bangladesh Government has requested our assistance in this matter.”
The MEA official added: “We have received that communication from the Bangladesh Government and have requested our concerned agencies to tabulate information and collate that so that we can share appropriately with our friends in Bangladesh.”
On October 2, 2014 an explosion occurred in a house in the Khagragarh locality of Burdwan in West Bengal of India.
Two suspected Mujahideen terrorists were killed and a third injured. The police seized 55 improvised explosive devices, RDX, wrist watch dials and SIM cards.
Some media reports said that the two killed militants were Bangladeshi.
