FENI: A youth died and two others injured in a blast while they were making bombs at Sadar upazila in the district on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Nur Nabi, 28, son of one Ishaq, hailed from Bathania village of the upazila.

Quoting local sources, Officer-in-Charge of Feni Model Thana Mahbub Morshed said Nur Nabi was making bombs in an abandoned house near the mosque of the village.

But a sudden blast around 3:30pm killed Nur Nabi and injured two others, police added.

OC Mahbub Morshed also said local people claimed that Nur Nabi was a professional bomb-maker.

The body was sent to Feni Modern Sadar Hospital, he added.
