BARISAL: Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) declared to halt all types of lighter vessels service in internal routes of Barisal division due to rough weather.

Sources said that movements of all fishing boats, trawlers and vessels less than 65 feet have been declared shut till further notice as cautionary signal ‘two’ was announced earlier for river ports.

The sources also said that Dhaka-Barisal launch service will remain out of this notification.
