NARAYANGANJ: A Palli Bidyut lineman was electrocuted in Rallybagan area under Bandar upazila of the district on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Zahirul Islam, 40, son of one Abul Hossain, hailed from Kapasia’s Amraid of Gazipur district.

Sources said Zahirul came in contact with an electric wire while setting up an electric meter at a house in the morning and died on the spot.

Doctor Abdul Mannan Bhuyian of Narayanganj 300-bed Hospital confirmed the matter to banglanews.
