DHAKA MEDICAL COLLEGE HOSPITAL: Police detained a teenager girl on the charge of attempting to steal a newborn baby from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) early Sunday. 

The detainee is as Sumi, 17. 

Sources said that Sumi, the aunt of newborn, was trying to steal the newborn from the hospital around 3:30am. Then Ansar members held her with the baby. 

During primary interrogation, Sumi admitted that she had a deal with buyer of Tongi to hand over the baby. 

DMCH police outpost officer Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
