DHAKA: BRAC University Professor Dr Piash Karim was laid to rest at the Banani Graveyard in the city on Friday afternoon.

Sources told banglanews that he was buried there at 3:22pm.

Earlier, his second janaza was held at Baitul Mukarram Mosque after the Jumma prayers while Piash Karim's first janaza was held at city’s Baitul Aman Jame Masjid adjacent of late BRAC University Professor’s Dhanmondi residence before the noon, sources added.

Piash Karim’s body was taken to Dhanmondi from Square Hospital's mortuary in the morning.

There politicians, academicians and general people paid homage to the recently deceased professor.

On October 13, BRAC University Professor Dr Piash Karim died of cardiac arrest at Square Hospital in the capital.
