DHAKA: An activist of Hizb-ut Tawhid sustained bullet injury during a clash with the law enforcers in city’s Mohammadpur area on Friday noon.

The injured was identified as Nafis.

Police sources said that the activists of Hizb-ut Tawhid brought out a sudden procession in the area after Jummah prayer.

However, on information, police rushed into the place and tried to disperse them. At one stage the agitated activists of the party locked into a clash with the law enforcers and hurled cocktails, bricks and chips aiming them.

After that police opened fire, leaving Nafis injured critically.

He received bullet injuries on his back and at leg.

He was rushed to Dhaka Mediacl College Hospital.

Sub-Inspector of Mohammadpur Thana Razib Mia confirmed the matter to banglanews.
