COMILLA: Miscreants slaughtered a schoolboy and stole his auto-rickshaw in Pihar area under Burichang Upazila of the district on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Nazmul Hasan, 14, a student of class eight of Gobindapur Ali Mia Bhuiyan High School and an auto-rickshaw puller.

Local sources said that driving the auto-rickshaw the victim managed his livelihood and educational expense. On Friday night, he went out from home with his auto-rickshaw and remained missing.

Later on Saturday morning, seeing the body of the victim in the area, locals informed police.

Burichang Thana Sub-Inspector Imam Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
