BARISAL: A schoolboy and two housewives committed suicide at Barisal city and Agailjhara and Uzirpur upazilas on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Rifat Hawlader, 14, son of Alauddin Hawlader and a student of class-IX at Mathuranath Public High School and residing in BSCIC area and two others--Nipa Haldar, 19, wife of Apu Halder of Kathia village under Agailjhara upazila and Jhumka Baroi, 22, wife of Uzzal Baroi, of Kurulia village of Uzirpur upazila.

Agailjhara Thana Officer-in-Charge Sazzad Hossain told banglanews that Nipa took poison in the morning centering family feud. Later, she was rushed to Agailjhara Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctor declared her dead.

Jhumka also took poison and died on way to hospital, he added.

The bodies were sent to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital ward-master Abul Kalam said Rifat committed suicide by hanging himself centering family feud.

Later, he was rushed to the hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
