JESSORE: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members on Saturday seized 553 pieces goat hides while smuggling to India through Putkhali border area of Benapole in district.

BGB sources told banglanews that acting on tip off, the BGB personnel conducted a drive and seized 13 sacks full of goat hides from a boat on the river Ichamati around 8:00am.

However, the BGB personnel could not detain any smugglers in this regard.

BGB-23 Putkhali camp Subedar Samsur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
