DHAKA: The police administration suspended four police personnel, including two Assistant Sub-Inspectors of Vatara Thana who were detained from Kuril Bishwa road area in the city, Saturday morning.

The suspended police men are Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI) Mir Sirajul Islam and Kawsar, Constable Rahman and Constable Asaduzzaman (driver).

Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations Department) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Masudur Rahman told banglanews that police department does not allow any misconduct and that is why legal actions have been taken against them.

The accused police men detained a man and a woman for their alleged involvement in anti-social activities. Later, without sending them to the police station, they demanded ransom, he added.

Gulshan Thana Police detained the accused police men and filed a case in this connection.
