DHAKA: To learn about the activities of banned militant outfits in Bangladesh, a two-member team from India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrived in Dhaka on Monday.
A flight of Air India landed at Shahjalal International Airport carrying the team members – NIA director general Sharad Kumar and Sajid Farid—at 10:35am.
Officer-in-Charge of Airport check post Abdus Salam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
NIA officials are making the visit against the backdrop of October 2 Burdwan blast probe and arrest of persons allegedly linked with Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).
