DHAKA: At least 17 people, including a bus driver, were injured in a road accident in Khilkhet area of the city early Saturday.

Witnesses said a rashly driven passenger bus hit a foot over bridge and turned turtle as the driver lost his control over the steering at Shewra bus stand area around 12:00am leaving 17 people including the driver injured.

The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and Kurmitola Hospital.

Sub-Inspector of Khilkhet Thana Jewel said that on information, police visited the spot and seized the bus.
