DHAKA: Police detained three suspected members of banned Islamic outfit Hizb-ut-Tahrir Bangladesh from Khilkhet area in the city on Thursday night.

The detainees are Nayan, 24, Musa, 25 and Ataur, 20.

Khilkhet Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the law enforcers detained the trio when they were distributing the leaflet of their party in Khilkhet Bazar around 8:30pm.

Police interrogated them at the tahna, he added.
