BAGERHAT: Families of victims who were killed in Sena Kalyan Sangstha’s cement factory roof collapse will be given one-lakh takas financial assistance each.
During the spot visit around 10:00am, Captain Syed Helal Hossain, deputy director general of Elephant Brand Cement Factory, declared to provide Tk 1 lakh to families of the dead each.
It will also provide all the treatment costs of injured, he added.
On the other hand, Bagerhat-3 constituency MP Talukder Abdul Khaleque told reporters that initially each of the families of dead will be given Tk 20,000. Besides, each of the injured will get Tk 10,000, he added.
He came up with the assurance while visiting to injured workers at Mongla Port Hospital around 11:00am.
At least seven workers were killed and 40 injured after the roof of an under-construction factory of Elephant Brand Cement collapsed at Mongla in the district Thursday afternoon.
