DHAKA: Customs officials detained three Malaysian citizens with 45 kilograms of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in city on Saturday morning.

The detainees are identified as He Oi Khong, 38, Johari bin Harun, 41 and M Ajwan bin Salehin, 21.

Customs Preventive Team, in a drive, seized the big consignment of gold at airport, said Shahiduzzman Sarker, assistant commissioner of Customs Preventive Team.

According to the AC (customs), the drive is underway till filing of the report.
