DHAKA: A person was killed and another one injured in a clash that ensued between two groups of cable businesspersons in city’s Khilgaon area Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Hafez.

Khilgaon Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Kazi Mainul told banglanews that Hafez group clashed with Palash group over collection of cable business money in Nabinbagh area in the evening, leaving Hafez and Palas injured.

Critically injured Hafez was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where he died under treatment at night, he added.

Police detained one for the alleged involved in the incident, the  OC added.
