BENAPOLE (JESSORE): Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members detained 12 Bangladeshi men and women from Benapole frontier as they were entering the country from India illegally.

Benapole check-post ICP camp subedar Jalal Uddin told banglanews that they detained the Bangladeshis from Sadipur road near the frontier conducting special anti-trafficking drive this morning.

The detainees have been handed over to police, he added saying, but the traffickers managed to escape from the scene.

Benapole port thana sub-inspector (SI) Sujit told banglanews that a case of intrusion has been filed against them.
