COX’S BAZAR: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized 16,000 pieces of yaba tablets from Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district.

BGB said that on a tip-off, they conducted an anti-smuggling drive at Teknaf transit ghat this morning.

According to them, sensing the presence of law enforcers, the smugglers left a polythene bag abandoned and escaped the scene.

Later, the law enforcers seized 16,000 pieces of yaba tablets from the packet.

BGB Teknaf 2 Battalion additional director Major Abu Russel Siddique told bagnlanews that the recovered yaba tablets worth Tk 48 lakh.
