BOGRA: Train communications of northern region with Dhaka and other parts of the country resumed after a five-hour halt due to derailment of a train near to Nashratpur station of Bogra Friday morning.
Railway sources said a bogie of the Lalmonirhat-bound train ‘Lalmoni Express’ from Dhaka veered off the tracks in the area around 7:15am, halting train services on Bonarpara-Shantahar, Lalmonirhat-Shantahar and Lalmonirhat-Dhaka routes.
Santahar railway Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Saju Mia told banglanews that derailed bogie has been towed to Shantahar Junction around 11:45am. Train services resumed after clearing the rail track.
