BBIN motor rally inaugurated

BHUBANESWAR (DHAKA): The Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal (BBIN) Friendship Motor Rally-2015 has been inaugurated through a colourful cultural program in Bhubaneswar in India on November 14 (Saturday).

Bhubaneswar mayor Ananta Narayan Jena, Bhubaneswar Central MLA Bijaya Kumar Mohanty, Bhubaneswar North MLA Sri Priyadarshi Mitra, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd vice-chairman and director Shekhar Vishwanathan, among others, were present at the inauguration ceremony.

The Kalinga Motors Sports Club, in association with India union ministry of road transport, organized the rally that would cover 4,223-km in 19 days in three countries by around 20 vehicles and 80 participants would achieve a new milestone in regional integration among four countries.

As many as 14 delegates from Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal went to join the rally along with the delegates of India.

Formal flag off will be held from Asian Highway 45 in Bhubaneswar to cross National Highway 6 in Baripada on Sunday morning. After having lunch at Rairangpur, the rally will cross Jamshedpur and will stay in Ranchi.

After flagging off from Dhaka, the friendship rally will end in Kolkata after crossing Jessore, Benapole and Petrapole on December 1.

Lastly, a seminar will be held in Kolkata on December 2 when the rally will come to an end.
