SAVAR (DHAKA): At least two people were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a sand-laden truck in Kalma area under Savar Upazila of the district Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Ibadat Mandal, a laborer from AKH ready made garments (RMG) factory and Shahidul Islam, hailed from Aukpara of Ashulia.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Savar Model Thana M Emdad confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The injured were treated at Enam Medical College and Hospital, he added.
