DHAKA: A fire broke out at a Cotton warehouse adjacent to Khilgaon Model School in the city on Friday afternoon.

The fire originated at first floor of the under construction Community Center around 2:00pm.

Fire Service city headquarters assistant director Masudur Rahman Akhan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

On information, four fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and bought the blaze under control around 3:15PM, he added.

Locals said the under construction building housed several shops of furniture. The fire originated from the warehouse of quilts that housed at first floor.
