DHAKA: ICB Islamic Bank authorities Thursday rebutted a report in a national daily about alleged corruption.
They gave their rejoinder and claimed that the Inqilab report about the irregularities in the bank’s management and recruitment process was ‘totally false and fabricated’.

The Daily Inqilab, a national daily, Thursday ran a report headlined ‘corruption still continues in ICB Islamic Bank’.
Chief of Public Relations department of the bank Lutfar Quddus said, “They have published the report without taking any comment from the bank authority. Through the report the newspaper has tarnished the image and goodwill of the bank authority and management. We protest the news.”

He also said Bangladesh Bank didn’t conduct any investigation into the corruption of the bank, which was claimed in the report.

“We have talked to Executive Director of Offside Supervision Department of BB NA Sur Chowdhury and he denied having done such investigation,” says the rejoinder.
