SYLHET: A lover couple, students of Leading University, committed suicide at own residence in Hawapara and Nayapara areas of the city on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Nafijur Rahman from Haoapara area and Tanzina Jahan Liza from Nayapara area in the city.

They both were student of BBA first-year of Leading University of the city.

Sources said that Nafijur hanged himself around 10.00am and later Tanzina hanged herself getting information about her boyfriend Nafijur’s suicide.

On information, police recovered the hanging bodies and sent the bodies to hospital for autopsy.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Thana Ahmed Nasir Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews and said an unnatural death case was filed for the incident.

Police is looking into the incident, he added.
