KUSHTIA: Two children were killed as a roof of a under construction gate collapsed on them at Barbaria village of Sadarpur union under Mirpur upazila of the district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Abdur Rahim, 10, son of Seken Uddin and Jubaer Ahmed, 9, son of Eken Uddin of the area. They are cousin.

Another kid was injured in this incident and he was rushed to Mirpur Upazila Health Complex.

Sources said three children were playing on a under construction gate of their house.

At one stage, they fell on ground as the roof collapsed leaving Rahim and Jubaer dead on the spot and injured Mokarram.

Officer-in-Charge of Mirpur Thana Motiar Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
