Biman wants JFK, Europe, China with new 777s

DHAKA: Biman Bangladesh Airlines is planning to expand its European network, which currently consists of Rome Fiumicino and London Heathrow and begin flights to New York JFK and China next year with the arrival of two more B777-300(ER)s.

Kevin Steele, the Managing Director of Biman, made the announcement during a press conference at Biman’s head office.

He announced that the Bangladeshi carrier`s provisional results for its 2012/13 Financial Year show that losses have improved to around USD25million from USD75million in the year preceding.

Mr Steele said the new 777s would be delivered in February and March of 2014.
