DHAKA: Agitated readymade garments workers of various factories ransacked Luman Fashion Garment at DIT road in city’s Malibagh area on Friday morning.

Witnesses said that hundreds of RMG workers were heading to press club to join a rally at around 10:00am. Suddenly they started throwing brick-chips aiming the garment factory.

Meanwhile, garment workers also put barricade on Malibagh-Rampura road for a while.

Rampura police station Sub-inspector Burhan Uddin told banglanews, “On information police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.”

Additional police forces were deployed in the area, he added.
