DHAMRAI, DHAKA: Two cousins drowned in a pond in Seeti village of Dhamrai Thana of the district Friday.

The deceased were identified as class-3 student Moyna Akhter, 11, daughter of Shariful Islam and Ratul Islam, 5, son of Ramjan Ali of the village.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Uparishad Councilor Badaruddin said that Moyna and Ratul drowned in a swamp near Seeti bridge area while taking bath around 4.00pm.

Locals recovered the bodies after an hour long drive.
