BOGRA: A person died after miscreants chopped off his right Thai in Jolapara area of Ashekpur Union under Shahjahanpur Upazila of the district on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Makbul Hossain, 52, a day laborer.

Sources said that miscreants chopped Makbul’s right leg at around 10:30pm while he was returning home from Ranirhat bazaar, leaving critically injured.

Later, passersby rushed him Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Shahjahanpur police station Officer-in-Charge Mahmudul Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Following the matter a case was going to be filed, OC added.
