Students vandalizes Bhola polytechnic

BHOLA: Students of Bhola Polytechnic Institute staged demonstration for the second consecutive day to press their 2-point demand on Monday in Borhanuddin upazila of the district.

Local sources said that the students came up with a protest procession at around 10.00am. During the time they blocked the Bhola-Charfashion road and vandalized a passenger bus of BRTC.

At one stage, agitated students vandalized furniture of few rooms of the Institute and locked into a clash with law enforcers.

Officer-in-Charge of Borhanuddin Thana Sub-Inspector Mainul Hossain told banglanews that police was trying to bring the situation under control.

Polytechnic students had been staging demonstrations demanding immediate implementation of Prime Minister’s directives in reduction of salary discrimination of diploma engineers and two inter-ministry committee’s recommendation.
