2 tourists die after taking drug in Cox’s Bazar

COX’S BAZAR: Two tourists died after taking drug in Cox’s Bazar.

Four friends went a holiday to Cox’s Bazar on Friday (January 30). They checked into a hotel and fell sick. One of them, named as Abir Rahman Rumi, 24, died at Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital on Sunday (February 2). Another one, named as Mohammad Arefin, 25, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Monday (February 3), said Shahjahan Kabir, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Cox's Bazar Sadar Model Police Station. 

Evidence of drug consumption was found after consulting them at the hospital. Deaths believed to be caused by drug, Dr. Shaheen Abdur Rahman, Residential Medical Officer (RMO) of Sadar Hospital told Banglanews.

Four friends fell sick because they took too much drug, said Masum Khan, inspector (operation) of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Police Station.
