Detective Branch (DB) of Police detained two suspected smugglers with the biggest ever haul of around 14 lakh yaba pills in Sadar upazila of Cox's Bazar on Tuesday afternoon.

Cox's Bazar Superintendent of Police Md Hasanuzzaman confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said, acting on a tip-off, DB police conducted the drive near Choufaldandi Bridge adjacent to Cox's Bazar city around 2:00 pm today.

Mentioning that it was the largest ever haul of the contraband drug, the SP said DB members also seized a trawler used in the smuggling.
