Nepalese President Bidya Devi Bhandari has arrived in Dhaka on a two-day state visit to attend two mega events commemorating birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and golden jubilee of Bangladesh liberation war.

She is leading a 27-member high level delegation, which includes Foreign Affairs Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and secretaries concerned and senior officials of the ministry, the President’s office and other ministries concerned.
President Bidya Devi landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10am on Monday by a special flight of Nepal Air where President Abdul Hamid received her.
She was given an honour guard with 21-gun salute by a smartly turned out contingent drawn from Bangladesh Army, Navy and Air Force at the airport.
Nepalese President will now go to the National Memorial at Savar to pay tribute to the martyrs of Bangladesh liberation by placing wreaths.
