NAOGAON: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is set to visit the district on Tuesday afternoon to inaugurate several development projects.

The helicopter carrying the premier will land at helipad of Nitpur Bazar in the upazila at around 2:30pm, said sources concerned.

Naogaon Deputy Commissioner Md Anamul Haque said the prime minister will inaugurate 20 development projects and lay foundation stone of 13 more development projects in the district during her tour.

Later, Sheikh Hasina is set to address a mass rally at Porsha Degree College ground in Porsha Upazila.

Naogaon police super Kaiyumuzzaman told banglanews that tight security measures were taken in the area to ensure the security of the premier.  Cheek posts were set up at all entry points and key places of the district.
