The Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) Police arrested Nishita Iqbal Nodi, the former vice-president of the banned student organization Bangladesh Chhatra League's (BCL) Dhaka University (DU) Shamsunnahar Hall unit.

She was detained during a raid in the Bhatara police station area of the capital on Saturday night, December 14. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Commissioner (DB) Rezaul Mallik confirmed the matter.

He also said Nodi was nabbed based on specific allegations and information. 

There are multiple cases filed against her, the Official added.
